Wireless Charging for the iPhone?

Apple is reportedly working with partners in U.S. and Asia to create wireless charging. It’s not only wireless charging, but also “long distance” wireless charging according to Bloomberg. There are current wireless charging technologies in the market right now. Just walk to your nearest Starbucks, and they have wireless charging stations for your phone. The only catch with these current technologies is that we have to attach a device to the phone in order for it to charge. We also have to place the device on the charging station -making it not so “wireless” after all. Even though there are no wires, you would still have to keep the device on the station. Although I guess it’s more convenient than dealing with wired cables.

If Apple were to develop long distance wireless technology -it would be a game changer. Just imagine, you would not have to plug in any cables -just walk into a room and boom! You’re device is charging; never having to worry about cables again. The rumors are said to have this technology by 2017 -hopefully sooner.
